Undergraduate Opportunities

At WYG we believe in investing in people early on in their career so you don’t have to be a graduate to gain valuable work experience with us. We also offer students and school pupils a variety of opportunities including:

Summer Placements

If you are looking for an opportunity to gain invaluable experience whilst earning some money and are up for a challenge we are keen to hear from you.

Each year we take on a number of summer placement students within a range of our disciplines across the country. We do not offer set vacancies because we are keen to ensure there will be enough interesting projects for you to get the best learning and development opportunities and we never promise anything we can’t deliver. Industrial Placements

Likewise each year we also take on industrial placements within our various disciplines across the UK enabling those undertaking sandwich courses at university to gain the necessary experience to satisfy their degree course. Naturally in return we expect hard work and creative ideas as you make a real contribution to the team. But quite simply, we believe if we provide you with interesting work and learning opportunities you will be able to ‘shine’ in your role and will want to work for us in the long term so Apply now.

Year in Industry

We can offer you this programme in conjunction with EDT primarily for those of you with Engineering specialisms. Joining us for a year you will attend Park Lane College 1 day per month and study your NVQ Certificate of Management, Level 3 and be encouraged to enter the ‘Contribution to the Business Competition’ and if you impress us we will be keen to keep in contact on your graduation.

Opportunities for School Pupils

If you are still at school and deciding on whether our industry is the kind of place you would like to build a rewarding career but are not yet sure, we do offer short term opportunities to gain a week or two of experience in the company.
